There’s less than one week to go until Securexpo East Africa 2019 opens its doors and with the Conference line-up finally revealed, discover what there is to look forward to during the fourth edition of East Africa’s largest security, fire and safety exhibition.
Taking place between 24 and 26 of September this year, visitors and exhibitors alike will come together in their thousands to experience the very latest the industry has to offer. Organisers have already confirmed the show’s growth of over 15% since last year and that they expect to bring together over 2,500 senior industry professionals across the three days.
Taking a closer look at the programme for 2019 day-by-day, we’ll give a brief overview here of the themes and who’s set to take the stage.
Organisers would like to encourage visitors and exhibitors alike to join them for a very special Opening Ceremony from 10am on day one which will feature the Conference Keynote Address from a VIP industry member who will be announced closer to the time.
Day one will host key members from PSRA, NCTC, Swissport Ltd and Tribus as they present various conference topics covering cyber security, terrorism, aviation security and more. Tracom Solutions will be sponsoring the session titled ‘Security Trends in Kenya’ by Mr. Augustine Lokwang Ekitela, Secretary General of ACISMP which will give an in-depth overview on how the government will be investing in the sector and the impact it will have in shaping Kenya’s private and public sector in a devolved Government.
Among the sessions set to take place on the second day of the conference will be ‘Enterprise Security Risk Management’, hosted by Lt.Col. (Rtd) Julius Githiri, Chairman of NACADA and ‘I.T. Security – The Emerging Threat’, hosted by Mr. Silvanus Sewe, Chairman of KEPSA. Mobiak have also sponsored a dedicated session on day two for ‘Fire Safety Regulations & Standards’ with Mr. Francis Omollo Leich, Secretary General of the Kenyan National Fire Brigade Association (KENFIBA).
The third and final day of Securexpo’s Conference will combine themes across security, fire and safety, including ‘Safety & Emergency Preparedness’ by Mr. Michael Gitau, an Emergency Services & Safety Consultant. Our third day will also welcome Ms. Mumbi Kariuki, International Safety Chief Trainer as she presents her session on ‘Emergency Response & Safety Design’.
